Warriors kick off competition season at Coyote Classic
SALINA, Kan. – Sterling College Cheer opened up their competitive season at the Kansas Wesleyan University Coyote Classic on Friday, Jan. 30. The team finished sixth with a score of 68.6.
In the breakdown of scoring, the Warriors scored 24.1 points in building, 19.8 points in tumbling, 17 points in overall master and 9.2 points averaged overall effect score.
"I think we did really great," said head coach Whitney Nightingale. "We knew it would be a bit different because of the new judging rubric, but we were very happy with the results and we are excited to learn from the critiques and excited to go to York this week."
