Cheer finishes ninth in Crown Classic
YORK, Neb. – Sterling College Cheer competed in the York University Crown Classic on Friday, Feb. 6. The team scored a 63.62 to finish ninth out of the 12 teams competing.
Head Coach Whitney Nightingale saw great areas of improvement for the Warriors along with things she would like to see improved in upcoming competitions.
"We had a great opening section that the judges really loved to see all the moving parts of the routine. Although we did not compete to our highest abilities, I am very proud of the teamwork they had on the mat, as well as the tenacity to push through and still put out an excellent quality routine," Nightingale said.
The Warriors will be back in action on Saturday, Feb. 21 in the Baker Classic hosted by Baker University in Baldwin City, Kan.
