Warriors tee off season at Verhille Invitational

Sterling College men's golf teed off the spring season at the Verhille Invitational at Old Kinderhook in Camdenton, Mo. on Monday and Tuesday, March 17-18.

As a team, the Warriors placed sixth shooting 51 over par, 25 over in round one and 26 over in round two.

Nick Ritchie led Sterling through both rounds, placing 15th shooting 10 over par, three over day one and seven over day two.

Sondre Jenson followed close behind, shooting 11 on the course, eight over in round one and three over in round two, to place 19th.

Zach Surface finished 32nd going 14 over par, four over on day one and 10 over on day two. Anders Hermansen followed close behind, shooting 16 over par, 10 over par in round one and six over par in round two, finishing 47th.

Thomas Castelblanco rounded out the Warriors with a 64th place finish, shooting 22 over par, 10 in the first round and 12 over in the second.

The Warriors will be back in action Sunday, March 23 at the Oakwood Intercollegiate in Enid, Okla.
