Jefferson leads Warriors to fourth-place finish at the NCCC Invite
The Warriors traveled to Neosho, Kan. to compete in the Neosho Community College Invite on Friday, Oct. 3. The men had a strong showing with Daryen Jefferson finishing fourth and leading the Warriors to a fourth-place finish as a team.
In the men's 8K, Jefferson ran a time of 27:17.6 to finish fourth. Camryn Gantt was the next Warrior across the finish line, with a time of 31:05.8 to come in 23rd. Right behind him was Jace Gaston, with a 29th-place finish with a time of 31:56.2.
Running neck-and-neck were Wesley Brantley and Ian Chrisler. Brantley ran a personal best time of 32:45.8 to finish 41st and Chrisler was less than a second behind him with a time of 32:46.5 to place 42nd.
In the women's 5K, Audrey Blake was the lone competitor for the Lady Warriors. She ran a time of 27:58.9 and finished 28th.
The Warriors will be back in action this weekend on Saturday, Oct. 11 at the Dallas Baptist University Old Glory Gallup in Dallas, Texas.
