Clason Earns 3rd KCAC Offensive POTW Award
WICHITA, Kan. — Korynn Clason of Sterling College and Taylor Jackson of Friends University have earned the KCAC Women's Basketball Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Monday. The two student-athletes were selected for their performances from January 8-14 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by Equity Bank.
Offensive Player of the Week
Korynn Clason - Sterling College
5-10 | Jr. | G | Cambridge, Neb.
Clason recorded her second 40-point game of the season this week. She is currently 10th in the nation in points per game (21.3) and first in the KCAC. With the 40 point performance, Clason eclipsed the 1,000 point mark in her Warrior career. This week, she led the team in rebounding and blocks, and tied for the team lead in offensive rebounding. As a guard she shot over 70% from the field. This marks the third time this season Clason has been named the KCAC Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week.

Defensive Player of the Week
Taylor Jackson - Friends University

Jackson put together another stellar defensive performance in leading the Friends University Falcons to a 2-0 record in the KCAC this past week. Jackson tallied five defensive rebounds per game and 4.5 blocks, highlighted by a seven-block effort to help the Falcons win a 79-75 battle and snap the team's 12-game losing skid to Sterling College. Jackson is still tops in the KCAC in defensive rebounding (6.9) and is tied for first in the league with 2.6 blocks per game on the season. This is the third consecutive week in which Jackson has been named the KCAC Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week, and the fourth time overall this season in which she has earned the award.
