Heskamp earns KCAC Offensive Player of the Week
Alissa Heskamp of Sterling College and Miyah McGee of Tabor College have earned the KCAC Women's Basketball Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively, the conference office announced Monday. The two student-athletes were selected for their performances from Feb. 10-16 by a vote of conference sports information directors. All KCAC Player of the Week honors are presented by Equity Bank.

Heskamp had huge performances when the Warriors needed her most this weekend, helping take down Friends University (now tied with Tabor for second in the KCAC standings) and get a win on senior day against Avila University. Against Friends, Heskamp scored 25 points, 16 in the second half, to propel her team to victory. She shot an impressive 73% from the floor, including 66% from three. She continued to lead the Warriors offensively in the game against Avila, where she had 14 points, five assists and five offensive rebounds to help the Warriors maintain a comfortable lead throughout play. Over the week, she scored a total of 39 points, seven assists, two steals, and nine rebounds (five offensive).
