Seven Warriors selected as 2024 Academic All-District Football team

The 2024 Academic All-District Football teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes football honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and the NAIA.

Seven Warriors were selected to the NAIA Academic All-District Football teams including: Flinders Cameron, Trevor Carr, Tim Chon, Mason Cobb, Hunter Pullen, Dylan Reese and Ryan Stucky.

To be nominated students-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average, and must compete in 90 percent or start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games.

Cameron is a senior defensive lineman from Canberra, Australia who recorded a total of 61 tackles over the course of 11 games, 23 being solo tackles. He also recorded 6.5 sacks combining for a total of 42 lost yards for Warrior opponents.

Carr is a junior wide receiver from Hillsboro, Oreg. He grabbed 11 receptions this year, averaging 12.5 yards per game and scored a touchdown for Sterling.

Chon is another junior wide receiver for the Warriors from Pleasant Grove, Calif. He recorded 9 receptions on the year, averaging 10.4 yards per game and scored a touchdown in his first season with Sterling.

Cobb is a junior punter from West Monroe, La. who totaled 1,134 yards punting this season. He averaged 40.5 yards on 28 punts with his longest being 69 yards.

Pullen is a senior line backer from Henrietta, Texas. He recorded 70 tackles on the season with 29 being solo tackles. Pullen also had an interception and fumble recover for the Warriors.

Reese is a junior running back from Goddard, Kan. who had 55 rushes on the season averaging 2.5 years per carry. He also was a target on the receiving end with seven receptions for 61 yards. He racked up a total of 198 yards on the year and scored a touchdown for Sterling.

Stucky is a junior wide receiver from Sedgwick, Kan. He grabbed 41 receptions for a total of 542 yards this season. He averaged 13.2 yards per game and scored six touchdowns throughout the season.

Academic All-District honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced January 28, 2025.
