Tied Through Halftime, Warriors End Up with Loss

Sterling, Kan. – The Sterling Soccer team played a nearly flawless first half. At halftime against Tabor College neither team was able to gain an advantage as the score was 0-0. Sterling was a little slow out of the gate in the second half and Tabor took advantage scoring twice in the first five minutes of the second half. Fifteen minutes later they tacked on another goal making it 3-0 Bluejays. Sterling was able to get on the board in the 64' when Tabor was called for a handball in the box as Sterling was making a play to the goal. Harvey Tolley came in for the penalty kick goal to make the score 3-1 with 25 minutes left to play in regulation. Neither team found the net the rest of the way and that score became the final.

Sebastian Torres was in the net for Sterling. He had four saves and gave up the three goals. Sterling's only offense came on the PK goal by Tolley.

Sterling continues KCAC play on Saturday against Friends University. Game time is scheduled for 3 pm.
