Sterling defeats Kansas Christian 3-0 at home

Sterling College Lady Warrior volleyball made light work in their game against Kansas Christian College with a 3-0 win in the Gleason Center on Monday, Aug. 25.

Sterling started the set with a commanding 25-9 win, followed by another 25-6 win and finished with a 25-17 win in the third.

The Lady Warrior's head coach John Harding went deep into his bench, allowing his younger players to get experience while giving his upper classmen a breather.

Despite only playing two sets, Aliya McClanahan led all players in kills with eight while having a kill percentage of 88.9%. Right behind her was Kalli Kaser with seven kills.

Emma Butler led the Lady Warriors in assists with 24 while freshmen Brooklyn Kuster and KcAnna Keiswetter each had a team high six digs.

Chloe Schmidt had a solid performance from the service line with three aces in two sets.

Sterling will be back in action at the Thunder Invitational at Manhattan Christian College in Manhattan, Kan. on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 29-30. The Lady Warriors will start against Cottey College at 1 p.m. followed by Central Christian College at 5 p.m. on Friday. Saturday, Sterling will take on Dallas Christian at 9 a.m. followed by the host school, Manhattan Christian at 1 p.m.
